What if I'm nervous about needles?

That's completely understandable. Our nurses are experienced in IV placement and will take the time to help you feel comfortable. The needle is used to plae the IV and is then removed, so a small flexible catheter is what remains in your vein during the infusion. If you're especially nervous about the IV start, we also offer numbing cream to help make the experience more comfortable. Just let your nurse know before the appointment.
